At NYPD Pizza, we pride ourselves in preparing our franchisees with the proper tools and support to become successful franchise owners. The NYPD Pizza training program is mandatory for the franchise owner, the management team and the pie cooks. The training consists of two-two week sessions that are held at an approved NYPD Pizza Training store and up to two weeks at the franchisees restaurant before their store opening.

NYPD Pizza Academy

At the NYPD Pizza Academy, the training program will show the franchise owner how to operate a successful franchise. First hand experience at a designated NYPD Pizza restaurant where you learn what it will take to operate a franchise, everything from what to do when you walk in first thing in the morning to how you close and lock down for the night.

The topics covered at the Academy training include the following:

• Ordering and receiving
• Staffing and labor cost control
• The NYPD Pizza POS system
• Food cost analysis and pricing
• Store opening to closing operations
• Hands on training in an opened store
• Equipment usage and upkeep
• Local marketing
• Local advertising
• Quality control and inventory

• Administrative procedures
• Preparing the product
• and much more!

In addition, we will provide you with a complete set of operation manuals and recipe manuals that you will learn from while you are at the NYPD Pizza Academy. The operating manuals will assist you once return to your restaurant to train your own team and operate your franchise.

Onsite Store Opening Assistance

This is the stage where you get to put all of your NYPD Pizza training into action with the help of your Project Management Team. The Project Manager will be with you for the first few days of your initial opening to assist you in preparing your store for a smooth and successful opening. NYPD Pizza will assist you with a grand opening plan that will help you introduce your new franchise in your community.

Continuing Franchise Training and Education

NYPD Pizza will continue the training and education process for your franchise even after your restaurant is open. You will receive up to date training materials, manuals and recipes to ensure your continued success.

The NYPD Pizza training program is an important part of being a franchisee. We want you to be successful and we take the necessary steps to get you there. From the first adventurous week at the NYPD Pizza Academy, to the classroom lessons on business 101, all the way through your first month as an NYPD Pizza Franchisee, you will have our full support.
